Some projects stay with you, and this is one of them. When Bachelor Nation’s Hannah Godwin and her fiancé Dylan moved into their new San Diego home, Hannah had one big dream: a closet that could also be her office and her beauty room. A place to get ready, film, work and actually find every lip gloss she owns.
Spoiler: it happened, it was featured on People.com, and it is still one of our all time favorite closets.

From Spare Bedroom to Clean Slate
It started as a spare bedroom with a sofa and not much else. California Closets San Diego took the room down to a clean slate and built it from scratch. Designer Katie Swinburne planned linen wardrobes with LED lighting behind the doors, a desk and vanity under the window, glass display shelves, a pull-out jewelry drawer and pull-out baskets. It was beautiful before a single item went in.

Where Our Celebrity Closet Team Came In
Then it was our turn to tie the bow. We always start the same way: sorting, sorting, sorting. Clothes, shoes, bags, makeup, skincare and all of Hannah’s filming and promo gear came out and got grouped by category. Once we could see everything, we built zones around how Hannah actually uses the room.
- Makeup: upright in clear dividers, so every shade is visible and nothing gets lost at the bottom of a drawer.
- Skincare: grouped by routine on risers, so morning and night products are easy to grab.
- Shoes and boots: displayed, not buried, with room for growth.
- Work zone: vlogging and promo items with a home of their own, easy to grab and easy to put away.

The Reveal
Hannah called it her little oasis for fashion, beauty and filming, and the space was featured on People.com. You can see her full tour in her YouTube vlog at 4:56. Our favorite part? She jokes about praying to the organizing gods to keep it the way we left it.

Tips to Steal for Your Own Dressing Room
- Plan zones before you buy a single bin. Know where each category lives first.
- Store makeup upright. When you can see it, you use it.
- Keep a landing spot for things that come and go, like promo packages or returns.
- Leave room for growth. A closet that is 100 percent full on day one will not stay organized.
