North Tustin homes are known for generous lots, mature trees and plenty of room to spread out. That extra space is a gift, but it has a way of filling up quietly over the years. For this Orange County family, the garage and two backyard sheds had reached the point where finding one thing meant moving ten others.
The challenge
The garage was completely full, with keepsakes, sports memorabilia, holiday decor, household supplies and boxes stacked from wall to wall, plus beautiful built in cabinets that could no longer be reached. Out back, the sheds were packed to the door. This was not a one afternoon job, and the family needed a team that would move at their pace and treat every decision with patience.
A phased plan
Rather than chase perfection in a single day, we worked in phases over several sessions from May through July 2026. Our organizers sorted side by side with the homeowner, grouping items into keep, donate, recycle and trash, and setting aside anything that might hold value so the family could review it before any decision was made. Artwork, china and collectibles were handled with extra care.
Donations and haul away were coordinated with our trusted junk removal partner across several scheduled pickups, so items that were leaving actually left. After each session we cleaned up the work area and kept a running inventory so the family always knew where things stood.
What our team did in the garage
Once the sorting was done, keepers moved into new tubs, and every tub got a clear label before going onto the metal shelving along the wall. The built in cabinets were emptied and reset, furniture and wall art were moved together and covered with blankets for protection, and the floor finally opened up into real walking space.
The backyard sheds
In July we turned to the sheds. Our team cleared them out, sorted the contents with the family, and packed what was staying into labeled boxes and tubs. Trash and recycling were taken away, and the space was cleaned up so it is easy to step inside, find what you need and put it back.
The result
Some of the hardest working spaces on the property now feel calm and usable again, and the family has a clear picture of what they own and where it lives. It is the kind of change you feel every single day.
Keeping it beautiful
A few habits keep a garage like this looking great: return tubs to their labeled spot after each use, do a quick reset at the start of every season, and keep a donation bin by the door so outgrown items leave the house instead of landing on the floor.
